Baseball Ranked No. 5 and 6 Nationally in Recent Baseball Polls
WINTER HAVEN - The Polk State baseball team, 40-9 overall and 16-5 in Suncoast Conference play this spring, has earned high rankings in two national polls this week.
The Eagles, who have won a season-best nine straight games, are currently ranked fifth by Perfect Game and sixth by the National Junior College Athletic Association.
Polk will square off against Northwest Florida in the opening round of the FCSAA/NJCAA Gulf District Baseball Tournament on Thursday, May 3, at 10 a.m., at Lakeland's Joker Marchant Stadium.
