Eagles score 18 runs, get 15th win in a row

Polk State extended its winning streak to 15 today with an 18-8 win over Hillsborough Community College in Tampa. 

Starting pitcher Casey Kulina improved to 10-0, pitching five innings and yielding four unearned runs. He walked one and struck out three. 

Cody Gamble, Jose Pupo, and Devin Vainer also saw action out of the bullpen. 

The Eagles had 18 hits, with every batter getting at least one. 

Daniel Sweet (2-for-4) doubled and had four RBI. 

JD Osborne (2-for-5) homered, scored three runs, and had an RBI. 

Casey Schroeder (3-for-5) walked, scored twice and drove in two runs. 

Cody DeNoyelles went 2-for-5 with a double, two runs, and an RBI. 

Luke Parker (2-for-3) walked three times, stole a base, scored twice, and drove in two runs. 

Shane Gordon went 2-for-7 with a run and an RBI. 

Sam Machonis (2-for-3) had three walks, two RBI and four runs scored. 

Matt Piatt (2-for-5) walked, stole a base, scored two runs, and rove in two. 

Cole Ondrejka (1-for-5) had two RBI and scored a run. 

The Eagles (34-11, 20-5 in the Suncoast Conference) play St. Petersburg College Monday at 6 p.m. in Winter Haven.
