Eagles shut out Seminole State in rain-shortened game

After scoring just one run in their last baseball game, the Polk State Eagles came alive at the plate today in a 5-0 win over Seminole State College in Sanford. 

The game was called due to rain after the fifth inning. 

JD Osborne banged out three hits, stole a base and scored a run. 

Keith Oren had a hit and two RBI. 

Gage Peters went one-for-two and scored a run. 

Kyle Jackson and Luke Parker each had a hit. 

Jordan Barrett worked all five innings for the Eagles to improve his record to 2-0. He allowed two hits and two walks while striking out six. 

The Eagles (3-4), who started the season with a loss on the road to Lake-Sumter State College, have a rematch with the Lakehawks on Wednesday at 5 p.m. in Winter Haven.
