Polk State baseball won its sixth straight game tonight, shutting out Seminole State College 5-0 in Winter Haven.

Jordan Barrett and Jose Pupo combined for the Eagles' second consecutive shutout.

Barrett worked four and two-thirds of an inning, giving up five hits, walking three and striking out five.

Reliever Pupo pitched the rest of the game and picked up the win, his first of the season. He held the Raiders hitless while giving up one walk and recording six strikeouts.

The Eagles seem to have found a cure for their early-season offensive woes as they pounded out 10 hits.

JD Osborne drove in a pair of runs, scored a run, and had one hit.

Kaylor Kulina went three-for-four with a walk, a stolen base, an RBI, and a run scored.

Keith Oren had a walk and a double.

Matt Piatt had three hits and an RBI.

Zack Bullard singled and drove in a run.

Luke Parker walked and scored twice.

The Eagles (8-4) take on St. Johns River State College on Tuesday at 5 p.m. in Winter Haven.
