Mora and Gamble hold Indian River to one run in victory

Maikor Mora pitched eight strong innings as Polk State beat Indian River State College 2-1 today in Winter Haven.

Mora allowed five hits, one run, and two walks while racking up 10 strikeouts. With the win, he evens his record at 2-2. 

Cody Gamble retired the side in order in the ninth inning for his fifth save in as many opportunities.

Cole Ondrejka doubled, walked and drove in a run. 

Matt Piatt singled, tripled, and scored twice.

Kaylor Kulina, JD Osborne, and Luke Parker each had one hit.

The Eagles (10-6, No. 7 in the FCSAA Coaches' Poll) head to Gainesville on Monday to play Santa Fe College at 3 p.m.
