Eagle sophomores soar at All-Star Weekend

Six of Polk State's sophomore baseball players took part in the annual FCSAA Sophomore All-Star Weekend on Oct. 24-25 at Tigertown in Lakeland. 

They had the chance to show off their skills in front of more than 200 pro scouts and college coaches in various workouts and in an all-star game between the Suncoast Conference and the Mid Florida Conference in Joker Marchant Stadium.  

Participating were Cody Burgess, Brandon Gali, Jacob Kelley, Kaylor Kulina, Zak Spivy, and Joe StrzeleckiLuis Ferrer did not play due to injury 

Head Coach Al Corbeil said, "The All-Star Weekend continues to be the pinnacle of the fall for our guys. I was glad we had beautiful weather and they had an opportunity to showcase themselves in front of some of the best college programs in the country in a tremendous venue at Joker Marchant Stadium."
