Skylar Frey of Polk State baseball has committed to continuing his academic and athletic career at Florida State University.

A sophomore outfielder from Sarasota, Frey is hitting .431 with 20 RBI, 20 runs scored, and 18 stolen bases. He leads the nation (NJCAA D1) in hits with 47.

"We are excited for Slylar to have the opportunity to move on to Florida State next year," said Head Coach Al Corbeil.

"We've enjoyed watching Skylar mature as player, person, and student-athlete, and we look forward to watching him continue to excel."

In his six years at Polk State, Corbeil has seen nearly 60 players move on to four-year schools.
