Eagles rally to down Hawks 8-7

Trailing 7-3, Polk State rallied for five runs in the eighth inning, beating Hillsborough Community College 8-7 tonight in Tampa.

The win broke a two-game losing streak.

Raudy Martinez had a triple and four RBI.

Isaiah Cullum singled, scored twice, and drove in two runs.

Cole Warken had a single, a double, and a run.

Zach Scott singled and scored a pair of runs.

Marquis Orozco had a single and two walks.

Zach Diewert walked twice and drove in a run.

Skylar Frey had a single and a stolen base.

Zach Biermann scored two runs.

Justin Gill (2-1) pitched the final three innings, picking up the win. He allowed two hits and struck out four.

Starting pitcher Chad Tworek allowed four runs on eight hits in three innings. 

Pat Doudican worked an inning, giving up two runs (one unearned) on one hit. 

Cole Crowder yielded a hit and a run in two innings.

The Eagles (20-7, 4-2, No. 3 FCSAA, No. 7 NJCAA) play Florida Southwestern tomorrow at 1 p.m. at Bing Tyus Yard in Winter Haven.
