The Polk State Eagles soared to their fourth straight win last night, defeating State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota 9-3 in Bradenton.
The Eagles broke a 1-1 tie with a solo run in the fourth and added one in the fifth.
After the Manatees cut the lead to 3-2 with a run in the fifth, Polk State scored a run in the sixth, three in the seventh, and two in the ninth.
The Eagles collected 12 hits.
Zach Biermann doubled twice and drove in three runs.
Isaiah Cullum went 2-for-3 with an RBI, two walks, and three runs.
Zach Scott singled, doubled, walked, and scored twice.
Jonah Garrison went 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs.
Skylar Frey had a single, a double, and a walk.

Justin Tworek earned the win, evening his record at 2-2. In six innings he allowed three runs (one unearned) on five hits, walking one and striking out seven.
Justin Gill faced six batters and gave up two hits while recording two strikeouts.
Zach Schneider picked up his fourth save, pitching to five hitters and allowing no hits while striking out two.
