Polk State had 10 hits today in a 12-2 seven-inning win over the Florida Southwestern Buccaneers.

Starting pitcher Justin Tworek (3-2) earned the win. In six innings, he allowed two runs on four hits with a walk and four strikeouts.
Chavez Fernander worked the final inning, striking out two and holding the Buccaneers hitless.
Florida Southwestern took a 1-0 lead in the third on a hit batter, a sacrifice, and a single.
The Eagles put eight runs on the board in the fourth inning.
Cole Warken drove in a pair of runs with a single. Two more runs came home on singles by Zach Biermann and Marquis Orozco. Another run scored when Raudy Martinez was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. Skylar Frey then cleared the bases with a double to left, scoring three runs.
An inning later, Polk State added a pair of runs on Martinez's bases-loaded sacrifice fly and Frey's single.
The Bucs made it 11-2 in the sixth when a run scored from third on a double play.
The Eagles increased their lead to 12-2 in the bottom of the inning. Pinch-hitter Tyler DeClercq belted the first pitch he saw to center for a double, took third on a wild pitch, and scored on Isaiah Cullum's sacrifice fly.
Frey went 2-for-3 with four RBI, a run, a walk, and two stolen bases.
Martinez scored twice and drove in a pair of runs.
