Schneider named State Fireman of the Year

Zach Schneider of Polk State has received the 2017 FCSAA State Fireman of the Year award.

A sophomore from Boca Raton, Fla., Schneider had 10 saves and a 5-1 record in 26 games. 

In 42 innings, he walked only four batters and struck out 39.

He allowed six runs and 26 hits. 

"It's great to see Zach get acknowledged for the season he had," said Head Coach Al Corbeil.

"He was phenomenal for us all season and a major part of our team's success this year"

Schneider also received 2017 Suncoast Conference Fireman of the Year honors.
