Zach Scott earns All-State recognition

Zach Scott of Polk State has been named to the 2018 FCSAA All-State Second Team.

In 52 games the sophomore infielder/outfielder from Mulberry, Fla., led the Eagles in hitting with a .398 average. He also drove in 48 runs and posted a .482 on-base percentage and a .519 slugging percentage. 

On defense he made 231 putouts and had a .958 fielding percentage.

"Zach had a tremendous season for us again this year, and I'm glad to see him get recognized at the state level," said Head Coach Al Corbeil.

"He's got a great future ahead of him, and I look forward to seeing him continue to put up big numbers at the next level."  

Also named to the Suncoast All-Conference First Team, Scott plans to continue his academic and athletic career at Florida Southern College.
