Eagles lose to Seminole State

Polk State lost to Seminole State 9-4last night at Bing Tyus Yard in Winter Haven. 

The Eagles have now lost four in a row after starting the season with a five-game winning streak.  

The Eagles had a 3-0 lead at the end of the first inning, but the Raiders responded with two runs in the second, four in the third, two in the fifth, and one in the sixth. 

Starter Reese Jackowiak (0-1) took the loss. In four and a third innings he allowed eight runs (five unearned) on seven hits, walking one and striking out five. 

Bryce Hill, Timothy Watkins, and Billy McKay pitched out of the bullpen. 

Brady Gulakowski singled, doubled, and drove in two runs. 

Tor Sehnert went two-for-four with a walk and a run. 

Danny Berg had two singles, a walk, and a run. 

Lazaro Rodriguez singled, walked three times, and drove in a run. 

Sam Koruschak also drew three walks and scored a run. 

Nico Limoncelli walked, stole a base, and scored a run. 

The Eagles (5-4) return to action Friday with a 2 p.m. game at Palm Beach State College.
