Eagles lose 6-5 to Eastern Florida

Polk State lost to Eastern Florida 6-5 yesterday in Melbourne.  

After the Eagles grabbed a three-run lead in the top of the first, the Titans answered with solo runs in the third and fourth and four more in the fourth inning, taking a 6-3 lead. 

Polk State put a pair of runs on the board in the fifth inning but got no closer. 

Brady Gulakowski went 2-for-4 with a double and a walk. Nico Limoncelli hit his first home run of the season, Sam Koruschak singled and walked, and Tor Sehnert walked twice and scored a run.  

Starting pitcher Tate Dearing (1-1) took the loss. 

The Eagles (6-7) play Webber International on Tuesday at 5 p.m. at Bing Tyus Yard in Winter Haven.
