Eagles lose 7-6 at St. Pete

Trailing 5-1, Polk State score five runs in the sixth inning to take a 6-5 lead but gave up two runs in the eighth, losing 7-6to St. Petersburg College last night in St. Pete.

Billy McKay took the loss, his first of the season, allowing two runs on three hits in the eighth. 

Drew Howard singled, walked, scored a run, and drove in two runs.

Danny Berg went 2-for-4 with a double, a stolen base, and an RBI.

Nico Limoncelli also had a double, along with a run and an RBI. 

Tor Sehnert went 2-for-5 with a stolen base and an RBI. 

Trent Sinkfield collected a pair of singles and a run. 

Sam Koruschak walked and scored. 

Nick Wells singled and walked. 

Lazaro Rodriguez added a single and a run. 

Dalton Boyd walked and scored a run. 

Polk State (11-11, 1-1) and St. Pete (8-12, 1-1) play each other again Friday at 5 p.m. at Bing Tyus Yard in Winter Haven.
