Eagles fall to Manatees

Polk State lost to State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota 13-3 in seven innings last night at Bing Tyus Yard in Winter Haven. 

Jake Curry (2-1) took the loss. In a third of an inning he allowed four runs on one hit and three walks. 

Carter Slentz, Reese Jackowiak, Zavien Lindsey, Bryce Hill, and Lazaro Rodriguez pitched in relief. 

Nico Limoncelli singled, walked, and scored a run. 

Sam Koruschak went 1-for-2 with a run and an RBI. 

Tor Sehnert, Trent Sinkfield, James Boldin, and Demetrio Rodriguez each singled.  

The Eagles (11-14, 1-4) and the Manatees (No. 5 FCSAA, 17-10, 2-3) play each other again Wednesday at 6 p.m. in Bradenton.
