Eagles blanked by Bucs 5-0

Polk State lost 5-0 to Florida SouthWestern tonight in Fort Myers. 

The Buccaneers scored a run in the second inning, two in the fifth, and two in the seventh.

 Each team had seven hits.  

Nico Limoncelli went 2-for-4 with a stolen base. 

Trent Sinkfield, James Boldin, and Brady Gulakowski each doubled.  

Starting pitcher Billy McKay (1-5) took the loss. In six innings he allowed three runs on four hits, walking none and striking out five. 

Brandon Willliams gave up two runs on three hits in one inning. 

Zavien Lindsey and Reese Jackowiak also pitched in relief. 

The Eagles (14-19, 4-9) play Florida SouthWestern (27-6, 9-3, No. 2 FCSAA, No. 8 NJCAA) again Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Bing Tyus Yard in Winter Haven.
