More than 25 MLB scouts and college recruiters came to Polk State baseball's annual Scout Day today at Bing Tyus Yard in Winter Haven.

The event gave Eagles players a chance to show their running, fielding, throwing, pitching, and hitting skills before taking part in an intra-squad game.

"We had another great turnout of MLB scouts and college recruiters today," said Head Coach Al Corbeil.

"It was nice for our guys to get that exposure and the opportunity to be evaluated early on by so many scouts and recruiters."

Over the past nine seasons, the Eagles have seen more than 20 former players move onto professional baseball and more than 90 players continue their academic and athletic careers at four-year universities.
