James’s Hard Work Pays off - Earns Division I Scholarship
WINTER HAVEN — After spending his freshman season as a walk-on, sophomore Jamaal James has earned a Division I Scholarship to Southeastern Louisiana University for the 2012-13 season.
James came to Polk in Fall 2010 to pursue a Associates in Arts. He made outstanding contributions to the Men's Basketball program, and due to his hard work on and off the court, he earned a scholarship for the Eagles this past season.
Prior to Polk, James was a standout at Brooklyn College Academy in New York City. While there, he led his team to a 24-3 record and averaged 7.8 points and 13.3 rebounds per game.
