Shooting Guard Joye Signs with Clark Atlanta
WINTER HAVEN — Polk State College sophomore guard Jarrel Joye on Thursday signed a National Letter of Intent to continue his basketball career and education at Clark Atlanta University, an NCAA Division II school that competes in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
Joye, a 6-foot-2 shooting guard, averaged 8.4 points, 1.9 steals and four rebounds this season for the Eagles.
Prior to Polk, he was a standout at La Salle Academy in Harlem, New York City where he surpassed current Los Angeles Lakers superstar Ron Artest as the school's all-team leading scorer with 1,331 points. As a senior, he averaged 19 points and two steals per game.
