Davon Usher, who graduated from Polk State College in 2012, has signed with the NBA's Golden State Warriors.

The NBA draft ends with only 60 players were drafted in two rounds, so Usher was offered a free agent contract. He is playing for the Warriors in the 2014 NBA Summer League July 11-21 in Las Vegas.

A 6'-6" guard, Usher played this past season for the University of Delaware. He helped the Blue Hens win the colonial Athletic Association tournament, earning them their first spot in the NCAA men's basketball tournament since 1999.

At Polk State, Usher helped lead the Eagles to the 2011 Suncoast Conference Championship, the 2012 Suncoast Conference Tournament Championship, and two FCSAA Region 8 tournament appearances.
