Eagles get 69-65 victory on the road

Polk State snapped a two-game losing streak tonight on the road, beating Florida State College at Jacksonville 69-65. 

The Eagles led 41-29 at halftime. In the second half, however, the Blue Wave made a run and trailed 65-62 with 1:30 remaining. 

Bernard Samuel made three of four free throws down the stretch, and Nigel Grant blocked a shot with 25 seconds left to seal the win. 

For the Eagles, Samuel finished with 17 points, five rebounds, and three assists.

Darelle Porter had 13 points. 

Jaleo Wilkes recorded seven points and seven assists. 

Elijah Cottrill added nine points. 

The Eagles (2-3) play next at Pasco-Hernando State College on Nov. 18.
