Eagles get road win against Manatees

Coming off a tough home loss, which dropped them into second place in the Suncoast Conference, the Polk State Eagles came back strong today, beating State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota 93-73 in Bradenton. 

The Eagles had a 36-33 lead at halftime before pulling away in the second half. 

Bernard Samuel led the Eagles, scoring 20 points and grabbing five rebounds. 

Tohi Smith-Milner had 14 points and five rebounds. 

Darelle Porter scored 12 points. 

Elijah Cottrill recorded 11 points and six rebounds. 

Reger Baker finished with 10 points and five rebounds. 

The Eagles (19-8, 4-2) travel to Tampa on Wednesday to face Hillsborough Community College. Polk State has beaten the Hawks twice this season.
