Eagles win third straight

Polk State basketball won its third straight game tonight, beating Clinton Junior College 85-56 in Daytona Beach.

The Eagles led 39-29 at halftime.

Troy Simons led Polk State with 24 points.

Darelle Porter scored 15. Dayjar Dickson added 12. Elijah Cottrill finished with 11, and Kahleek Bakare-Whyte had nine.

The Eagles return to action Tuesday against Daytona State at 7 p.m. in Winter Haven.
