Eagles defeat Walters State on the road

Polk State got back in the win column today with a 72-68 victory over Walters State in Panama City, Fla. 

Coming into today's contest, Walters State averaged 93.6 points per game. The 68 points the Senators scored today was their lowest total of the season.  

At halftime, the Eagles trailed 32-30. 

Dominique Reid led the Eagles with 16 points. He went eight-for-eight at the free-throw line. 

Troy Simons scored 15 points. Darelle Porter recorded 12 points, while Dayjar Dickson had 10, Elijah Cottrill eight, and Reger Baker seven. 

The Eagles (7-3, No. 8 FCSAA) play Albany Technical College tomorrow at 2 p.m. in Panama City, Fla.
