Eagles soar past Hawks for third straight win

Polk State won its third straight game tonight, beating Hillsborough Community College 72-64 in Tampa.

 The Eagles had a 28-26 lead at halftime.
 
Troy Simons led the Eagles with 17 points.
 
Charles Humphries scored 12, while Kareem Chever-Moore and Kevin Hamlet each finished with 10.
 
Kadeem Webb added nine points.

The Eagles (8-19, 3-5) return to action at 4 p.m. Saturday when they play State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota in Winter Haven.
