Kadeem Webb's three-pointer with 1.7 seconds left gave Polk State a 59-56 win over Hillsborough Community College tonight in Tampa.
The Eagles have won two in a row and improve to 2-3 in the Suncoast Conference.
Polk State trailed 56-54 when Webb hit the winning shot.
On the subsequent possession the Hawks turned the ball over.
When the Eagles inbounded, Kareem Chever-Moore was immediately fouled. He stepped to the free-throw line and sank two shots, putting the Eagles ahead 59-56.
Hillsborough had a final possession with .4 seconds on the clock but missed a half-court shot at the buzzer.
Stefan Nakic led the Eagles with 15 points.
Walt Covington scored 11.
The Eagles (5-17, 2-3) return to action Saturday when they face State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota at 4 p.m. in Winter Haven.
