Eagles improve to 8-2 with win at Santa Fe

Polk State improved to 8-2 last night with a 92-81 win over Santa Fe College in Gainesville.  

Tenacious defense set the tone, as the Eagles scored 23 points off of turnovers. 

Tekorian "TK" Smith led the Eagles with 24 points. 

Clarence Jackson had 18 points and seven rebounds. 

Malcolm Stevenson tallied 18 points and six rebounds. 

Janiel Romer Rosario finished with 17 points and seven rebounds. 

Together those four players accounted for 77 of the team's 91 points. 

The Eagles (8-2, No. 7 FCSAA) travel to Mariana, Fla., this weekend to play Gulf Coast State (No. 1 FCSAA, No. 6 NJCAA) on Friday and Chipola College (No. 4 FCSAA, No. 15 NJCAA) on Saturday in the Chipola College Classic.
