WINTER HAVEN - Polk State College sophomore softball player Molly Billue signed a national letter of intent to play for Southeastern University on Tuesday, March 1.
Billue, a first baseman and pitcher for the Eagles, is part of Southeastern's first-ever softball program slated to begin in the fall of 2012.
As a freshman, she played in 55 games, posting a .268 batting average with 17 RBIs on the season. She also pitched a total of 12 innings, striking out nine and finishing 2-0 on the season.
Billie's accomplishments do not stop on the playing field, as she also earned a spot on the Who's Who among Students in American Colleges and Universities for her outstanding achievements in the classroom.
Prior to her arrival at Polk, she was an All-Metro East Conference Player under Coach Bobby Brewer at West Orange High School.
