Putnam named Florida College System Activities Association Pitcher of the Week
WINTER HAVEN – Polk State freshman Courtney Putnam was named Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) Softball Pitcher of the Week for the week of February 6-12. Putnam helped lead the Eagles to a 2-1 record last week.
She earned her first save in the first game of the team's non-conference doubleheader against College of Central Florida. In the nightcap, she struck out six and earned the victory.
She allowed three hits and fanned eight in a 1-0 win over Lake-Sumter.
During the week, she struck out 14 batters in 15 innings for the Eagles.
Putnam has pitched 19.1 innings this season and has not allowed an earned run.
