Roberts breaks, ties HR records

In the first game of tonight's doubleheader in St. Petersburg Maggie Roberts hit her 13th home run, breaking Kenshyra Jackson' single-season record at Polk State. 

Then in game two, Roberts blasted her 14th homer, tying her with Jackson for most career home runs as an Eagle. 

Despite Roberts's power, the Eagles lost both games to St. Petersburg College, 7-5 and 10-2 (six innings). 

Haleigh Corbally (14-4) took the loss in game one. Roberts had three RBI, and Rose Stevens went 3-for-4 with a stolen base. 

In the second game, Kayla Montgomery saw her record fall to 17-6. Roberts drove in a pair of runs, and Erica Morrissey went 2-for-3. 

The Eagles (39-12, 12-4 in the Suncoast Conference) play their final regular season games Saturday at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. against Seminole State College of Florida in Winter Haven.
