After this season ends, no Polk State softball player will ever again wear numbers 2, 12, or 27.  Jeff Ellis, head softball coach, announced that the school would retire the numbers of Rose Stevens (2) Stephanie Koutsoumbaris (12), and Maggie Roberts (27) in honor of their accomplishments as Eagles.

"These three players are the cornerstone of the success we've enjoyed over the past two years," said Ellis. "They get us going and set the tone for the whole team."

Outfielder Rose Stevens (Mulberry High School), twice named All-Conference and All-State, and named 2013 NJCAA All-American. She holds Polk State single season records with 62 stolen bases (2013 and 2014) and 97 hits (2013), and career records for stolen bases (124), runs (125), and hits (178).

Catcher-outfielder Stephanie Koutsoumbaris (University High School, Palm Harbor) was twice named First-Team All-Conference and is the 2014 Suncoast Conference Player of the Year. She made Second Team All-State in 2013 and First Team All-State in 2014. She set the Polk State career record for RBI with 138, and her 18 career home runs put her third on the school's all-time list.

Infielder Maggie Roberts (Lake Gibson High School) twice made First Team All-Conference and All-State. She was named 2013 NJCAA All-American. She holds Polk State single-season record for doubles (23 in 2013), home runs (15 in 2014), RBI (71 in (2014), and batting average (.479 in 2013).
