Three Polk State College student-athletes have been named to 2014 National Fastpitch Coaches Association NJCAA Division I All-America teams, the Association announced today.

Rose Stevens (Bartow/Mulberry HS) made the All America First Team. Second Team members include Stephanie Koutsoumbaris (Palm Harbor/University HS) and Maggie Roberts (Lakeland/Lake Gibson HS).

During the 2014 season, the three players set Polk State season records:  Stevens had 64 stolen bases, Roberts hit 15 home runs, and she and Koutsoumbaris tied with 73 RBI.

"As time passes and we are furthered removed from the season the honors our players keep receiving is a testament to the players we had and the season each of them had and the season we had as a team," said head coach Jeff Ellis.

"Rose, Stephanie and Maggie have been great representatives of our school and our program, and I am very proud of them. "
