Polk State stayed undefeated today, winning two more times at the Leadoff Classic in Clearwater.

In the first game, the Eagles came from behind to beat Palm Beach State 5-4.

Down by a run in the bottom of the seventh, the Eagles rallied when Meghan Lindell's base hit scored Harlee Rimes with the tying run and moved Erica Morrissey to third base.

Morrissey then scored the winning run when Kacie Booth (two-for-four) laid down a suicide-squeeze bunt.

Amber Butler contributed three hits in four at-bats.

Danielle Gizoski picked up the win in relief of Lauren West. Gizoski improved to 2-0, working five innings with a walk, a strikeout and three unearned runs.

In game two, the Eagles soared to an 11-3, five-inning, run-rule win over Gordon State College.

Taylor Baker got the win, her first of the season. She gave up only two hits, struck out four, and yielded three runs, two of them unearned.

Baker also helped her cause at the plate, going one-for two with three RBI.

Booth continued her hot hitting with a double and five RBI.

In two official at-bats, Morrissey had two hits and an RBI.

The Eagles (6-0 and No. 6 in the Florida FCSAA Coaches' Poll) take on College of Central Florida on Feb. 7 at 1 p.m. in Winter Haven.
