Eagles sweep Miami Dade

Polk State softball scored 17 runs in two games today, beating Miami Dade College 6-2 and 11-3 (five innings) in Miami. 

In the first game, Erica Morrissey doubled and drove in two runs. 

Kacie Booth went two-for-four with an RBI and scored twice. 

Taylor Baker and Harlee Rimes each went two-for-three with an RBI. 

Lauren West pitched a complete-game four-hitter. She struck out 10 and improved her record to 5-3. 

The Eagles continued their hot hitting in game two. 

Morrissey again had a double and two RBI. 

Danielle Gizoski also doubled and drove in two runs. 

Baker slammed a home run and had three RBI. 

Booth went three-for-four with two RBI. 

Riley Caylor (4-1) got the win. She threw a five-inning complete game and had three strikeouts. 

The Eagles look to continue their winning streak on Sunday against Broward College in Fort Lauderdale at 1 p.m.
