Polk State's Riley Caylor, a sophomore from Lehigh Acres, has signed a letter of intent to play softball at Northwood University in West Palm Beach.

"I am very happy for and proud of Riley," said Head Coach Jeff Ellis.

"During her time as an Eagle she was the consummate teammate and leader. It was because of her leadership skills that I named her the first captain of the softball team during my tenure at Polk State."

A pitcher, Caylor helped lead the Eagles to the 2015 state tournament and to the 2014 district championship game. In two seasons, she posted a 12-6 record. She pitched 110 innings and averaged 3.7 strikeouts per game.
