Eagles swept at Seminole State

Polk State dropped a pair of games to Seminole State College today in Sanford. 

In game one, Mary-Margaret Maggard's solo home run accounted for Polk State only run as they lost 7-1. 

Taite Powell took the loss. In four innings she gave up three runs on five hits. 

LeAnna Otte worked the final two innings, allowing four runs (three unearned) on five hits. 

The Eagles lost the second game 8-1. 

Ally Baert had a single and an RBI. 

Kelsey Armstrong, Andrea Farley, and Jada Wesley each singled. 

Maddie Scott was charged with the loss. She allowed six hits and four runs in four and one-third of an inning. 

Otte gave up a run, and Powell surrendered three. 

The Eagles (9-9) travel to Ocala on Thursday for two games against College of Central Florida (17-3, No. 2 FCSAA, No. 1 NJCAA).
