Eagles drop two to Miami Dade

Polk State dropped a pair of games to Miami Dade College today in Miami.

The Eagles lost the first game 9-6.

Alayna Carranco went 2-for-3 with a double, a stolen base, a run, and three RBI.

Anizya Vargas singled, doubled, and drove in a run.

Lauren Estrada went 2-for-4 and scored a run.

Alexis McBride had a single, a walk, a stolen base, and two runs.

Destinee Jackson walked, stole two bases, scored a run, and drove in a run. 

Krista Hoyt had a single and a run. 

Megan Wilder and Carranco each pitched three innings.

In the second game the Eagles lost 10-5.

McBride went 2-for-2 with two walks, a run, and an RBI.

Jackson singled, doubled, walked, stole a base, and scored a run.

Victoria Perry had a single and an RBI. 

Diamond Simmons went 2-for-3 with a walk.

Destiny Breeden singled, walked, scored a run, and drove in a run. 

Estrada had a single, a walk, and an RBI. 

Hoyt walked and scored a run. 

Victoria Gonzalez had a walk and an RBI.

Sarah Grindrod pitched the first four innings, and Wilder worked the last two. 

The Eagles (14-15) begin Suncoast Conference play Tuesday against South Florida State College (No. 8 FCSAA, 20-6) at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Diamondplex in Winter Haven.
