Eagle Head Coach Bill Read Picks up Career Win Number 100

TIFTON, Ga. - Bill Read, Polk State's head women's soccer coach, reached a coaching milestone with his 100th career win on Oct. 2, in a 3-1 win over South Georgia College in the Tifton Tournament.

"I am excited about this accomplishment," said Read. "I wish I could call all the players that have played for me and tell them thank you."

Read's in his ninth season as the head women's soccer coach at Polk. Since Read took over the program in 2003, the team has amassed a 100-25-13 overall record.

During the past nine seasons, Read led Polk to seven Region 8 Titles, two District F Titles and two NJCAA national tournament appearances.

The Eagles are currently ranked No. 8 for the 2011 season in the NAIA Women's Soccer Coaches' Top 25 Poll. They are 6-1-2 overall and 1-1 in NJCAA Region 8 play.
