Broward College Tops Polk 1-0 in OT

FORT LAUDERDALE - The Polk State College women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 overtime road contest to Broward College Saturday night. Broward improved to 3-2 on the season. The Eagle suffered their fourth loss of the season, dropping to 6-2-4 overall.

Wind was a key factor in Saturday's NJCAA Region 8 game, whoever had the wind, dominated that period. Missing two key players, the Eagles fought hard but could not find the back of the net.

Broward scored with less than two minutes into the overtime period to win the game. "They had the wind with them, said Head Coach Bill Read."

Up next for Polk will be a road trip to Georgia to take on nationally ranked Georgia Perimeter College on Saturday, Oct. 22.
