Polk State Soccer, undefeated and ranked No. 6 in the nation, takes on Webber International University tonight in a juicy matchup that pits the Eagles against some of the strongest players College history.
The Eagles take on the Lady Warriors at 7 p.m. at home at the Lake Myrtle Sports Park in Auburndale. Admission is free. The game will also be available at psblive.com.
Webber, also undefeated and fresh off a 3-1 win over St. Leo University, is working with a roster full of Polk State transfers, including Delaina Archer (mid), Gloria Gomez (def), Ashley Palmer (f/mid), and Amanda Solis (mid).

The current Eagles are fresh off their 5-2 victory Saturday over Broward College, a matchup that saw Adelyne Brainard (f), Olivia Clare (f/mid), Bre Eldridge (mid), and Rachael Montoya (f/mid) post goals; Montoya contributed two of those goals and Eldridge, who scored her goal unassisted, was the assist for all of the team's other goals.
After previous victories over Darton College (Albany, Ga.) and Warner University, the Eagles are ranked No. 6 in the country by the NJCAA and No. 15 by the NSCAA.
Off to such a strong start, the Eagles, who began the season unranked, have every reason to enter tonight's game with confidence, Read said.
"Everybody puts their pants on the same way. It's just another game," he said.
