Alexis Arroyo had a hat trick as the Polk State Eagles ended their soccer season tonight with a 6-0 victory over the Broward College Seahawks in Davie.
Arroyo scored Polk State's first three goals.
She made the first in the 13th minute, with an assist from Meghan Flaherty.
Arroyo's second goal came in the 23rd minute, with an assist from Hannah Davis.
In the 52nd minute, Arroyo beat the goalkeeper and booted the ball into an open net.
A minute later, Kelsey Lewis scored when the goalkeeper challenged at the top of the box. Lewis took a touch into open space and put the ball into the open net.
Lewis scored again in the 68th minute after receiving a pass from Davis.
Jada Humpheries ended the scoring in the 89th minute, finishing a cross from a corner kick.
"We finished off the season strong with a comfortable win and with every player getting involved," said Head Coach Steve Linamen. "The team played with confidence and adjusted well to Broward's play."
The Eagles had 24 shots and nine goalkeeper saves. Broward took nine shots and made 13 saves.
With the win the Eagles finish the season 7-4-2.
