Polk State and Broward College played to a 1-1 tie in double overtime on Sophomore Night in Lakeland.
After Broward took a 1-0 lead in the 11th minute, Samantha Gutierrez scored the equalizer on a penalty kick in the 32nd minute.
After a scoreless second half, the team played two 10-minute overtime periods before ending in the tie.
The Eagles took 24 shots, with 16 on goal, and made two goalkeeper saves.
The Seahawks had eight shots, two on goal, and 14 keeper saves.
"I'm proud of our effort tonight," said Head Coach Steve Linamen.
"We didn't get the result we needed going into postseason play, but with the amount of attack we had today we should be a threat on Monday."
The Eagles (4-6-1) advance to the NJCAA Region 8 Tournament when they play ASA College (10-6-1) on Monday in Miami. Game time has yet to be determined.
"Our sophomores really led today, on and off the field," said Linamen. "They have been such an important part of driving our team culture, and we will really miss them.
"I feel blessed to have been able to be a part of this journey with them. But we're not done yet!"
