A sophomore defender from Viera, Fla., Dearing is majoring in criminal justice and has a 4.00 GPA. She played in each of Polk State's 13 games this season, starting 12 of them.
"Hannah has been an integral part of our program for the last two years," said Head Coach Steve Linamen.
"She not only displays leadership and maturity on the field, but as this distinction indicates, academically as well."
Student-athletes receiving Scholar All-America recognition from the United Soccer Coaches must be a sophomore in academic standing at the institution and meet the following criteria:
- 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) or better throughout career.
- Start more than 50 percent of all games and significantly contribute to their team.
- Nominated by head coach of current College Services member institution.
Players on this year's Junior College Scholar All-America Teams will be formally acknowledged for their accomplishments on the field and in the classroom at the All-America Ceremony & Reception on Jan. 12, 2019, at McCormick Place West in Chicago in conjunction with the 2019 United Soccer Coaches Convention.
