WINTER HAVEN - Freshmen DiannMarie Rivera-Romero (San Juan, Puerto Rico) and Rachel Aguilar (Caracas, Ven.) combined for 15 kills as Polk State College trounced State College of Florida, 3-0 (25-17, 25-14, 25-22) in their Suncoast Conference season opener Tuesday night at the Health Center.

In front of a packed crowd the Eagles dominated the game from start to finish. The closing set seemed to be the most challenging for the Eagles, as State College battled all the way to the last passion. Polk found a way to get some separation, on their way to a 25-22 victory.
