Eagles Drop Season Home Opener

WINTER HAVEN - Polk State College freshman Stephanie Harris (Miami, Fl.) provided some bright spots for the Eagles, but Florida College's Jenny Moorer led the Falcons to a 3-1(25-23, 25-13, 27-25, 25-20) win Thursday night at the Winter Haven Health Center.

The Eagles have won two of its last three games and is now 2-1 on the season. Florida College is 5-1.

Sophomore setter Chloe Boehm (Arcadia, Fl.) dished out 25 assists to aid Polk, while freshman libero Ileanuska Maldonado (Puerto Rico) provided 18 digs.

The Eagles were a little weary in this game; this was their third game in three days. Prior to this match they played two tough road games at Lake Sumter and at College of Central Florida.
