Maldonado, Romero Lead Polk Rout of Indian River State College, 3-0

FORT PIERCE - The Polk State College volleyball team posted a 3-0 (25-15, 25-16, 25-18) win over Indian River State College in Fort Pierce, FL on Wednesday night. Polk improved to 17-9 on the season and 7-1 in the Suncoast Conference. Indian River dropped to 12-9 overall.

Polk was led by Ileanuska Maldonado (Puerto Rico) with 14 digs and DiannMarie Rivera-Romero (San Juan, Puerto Rico) with 19 digs. Rachel Aguilar (Caracas, Venezuela) had 17 assists and nine digs. Yaritza Santiago (Puerto Rico) chipped in with eight kills, 11 digs and two blocks.  

Up next for Polk will be four matches in Leesburg, FL in the Lake Sumter College tournament on Friday and Saturday.
