Eagles Route South Florida Community College, 3-0

WINTER HAVEN - Polk State College defeated South Florida Community College at home in the Health Center, 3-1 (25-18, 25-12, 25-14).

Rachel Aguilar (Caracas, Venezuelai) had 40 assists and 12 digs to lead the way for the Eagles. DiannMarie Rivera-Romero (San Juan, Puerto Rico) made seven kills and nine assists; Yaritza Santiago (Puerto Rico) contributed nine kills and 10 digs for Polk.

The Eagles move to 14-8 overall and 6-1 in the Suncoast Conference play. Polk will play Thursday night at St. Petersburg Community College for to be crowned conference champs. Start time set for 7 p.m.
