Eagle Volleyball Wins Fourth Straight at South Florida Community College, 3-0

AVON PARK - DiannMarie Rivera-Romero (San Juan, Puerto Rico) had 12 digs as the Polk State College (6-1) swept South Florida Community College 3-0 (25-15, 25-12, 25-17) Thursday night in Avon Park, FL.

The Eagles have now won four consecutive games.

Rivera-Romero led Polk with 12 digs and she also had six kills to go along with three aces. Freshman Yaritza Santiago (Puerto Rico) had six kills and two aces.

The Black and Red will return to action on Friday, Sept. 23, when it kicks off play at the State College of Florida Tournament with 8th ranked Iowa Western Community College at 1 p.m. in Sarasota, FL.
