Eagles Claim 3-0 Win Over Manatee

BRADENTON - The Eagles attacked like a shark on its helpless prey, swallowing up any chance Manatee may have had to survive in a 3-0 (25-20, 25-17, 25-20) volleyball match in Suncoast Conference action.

The Eagles swept Manatee for the second time this month. The decision over Manatee not only extended the Eagles conference winning streak to five, but the Eagles have not lost a true road game this season.

Polk was led by Kahoriz Feliz Florian (St. Petersburg, Fl.) who blasted14 kills. DiannMarie Rivera-Romero (San Juan, Puerto Rico) had a double-double with 11 kills and 14 digs. Yaritza Santiago (Puerto Rico) chipped in with three aces and 10 digs. Rachel Aguilar (Caracas, Ven.) recorded 33 assists and eight digs.

Up next for Polk will be a home non-conference match-up against Gulf Coast State College Friday at 5 p.m.
